Job Site Delivery
Construction site (jobsite) deliveries often require specialized delivery equipment such as goose neck trailers, low deck curtain trailers, lift gate equipped trucks, box van trucks, etc. We understand the special attention that must be given to our customers’ requirements for jobsite deliveries. Drivers place a great deal of importance on customer satisfaction and strive to insure all deliveries are executed seamlessly. We understand special consideration must be given to our customers’ location, availability, accessibility, and local traffic ordinances.
For this reason our ABSi Sales Consultants fill in a ABSi Jobsite Delivery Form at time of sale depicting any special considerations or jobsite requirements that may impact our ability to successfully deliver such as narrow drives, steep drives, winding drives, low hanging branches, unfinished roadways, construction barriers, etc. In rare cases the jobsite is unaccessible by truck requiring the customer to meet the truck off site to off load product onto their own transport vehicle.
ABSi Industry Standard "Tailgate Delivery": Due to the product size and weight jobsite delivery is a tailgate only service meaning product is positioned at the gate of the trailer for off loading. It is the responsibility of the customer to schedule adequate help to off load from the truck or tractor trailer and spread the product on the jobsite. Due to the eneormous size and weight, in some cases, the customer must procur a forklift and or crane to handle the product safely and position it on the jobsite. These requirments are discussed during the sales process.
Drivers are not allowed to spread product on jobsite due to insurance liability or assist outside the body of the truck.
Lift Gates: A lift attached to a truck that moves upward or downward to accommodate the loading/unloading of freight is sometimes required. These are common for residential deliveries or jobsite deliveries but not always available and should be requested.
